<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an input file to be handled using an external device on a network even when the file includes data having unhandled file format or size. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP illustrated in a figure comprises: an HDD 6 that stores "convertible data D2" which is information on a format and capacity of image data handleable by the MFP main body; a determination unit 30 that determines whether the image data input from a removable storage input/output device 3 and the like satisfies the conditions of both the format and capacity handleable by the MFP main body; a transfer control unit 22 that, when any condition of the format and capacity is not satisfied, performs control for transferring the input image data to an external device 8 capable of handling both the format and capacity; and an output device 7 that outputs an image based on the image data (print data) processed by the external device 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
