<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thin polarizing film excellent in optical property. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a thin polarizing film includes following steps in order: a step of producing a laminate 10 by forming a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer 12 on a thermoplastic resin base material 11; a step of dyeing the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer 12 of the laminate 10 with iodine; a step of drawing the laminate 10 in boric acid solution and producing an optical film laminate; and a step of placing the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer of the optical film laminate in an atmosphere at temperature range of 40°C-100°C and humidity of 50% RH or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
