<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a mediastinal ROI (region of interest), and thereby eliminating irregularity due to manual setting by an operator. <P>SOLUTION: An image data storing unit 11 stores image data of an RI planar image taken of a subject given a radiopharmaceutical. A mediastinal reference position detecting unit 27 determines a central area of a body including a midline of the subject's body in the RI planar image, and creates a profile curve of the central area of the subject's body by using the image data of the RI planar image. Further, the mediastinal reference position detecting unit 27 identifies the mediastinal reference position in a vertical direction in the subject's body, based on the profile curve of the central area of the body. A mediastinal ROI setting unit 29 sets a mediastinal ROI in the RI planar image, based on the midline of the body and the mediastinal reference position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
