The invention relates to a rivet setting device for setting a blind rivet (3) containing a plurality of clamping plates (10) having flat boundary surfaces for acting on the mandrel (2) of the blind rivet (3). Said clamping plates (10) are disposed and guided in slots (7) of a mounting (5). The mounting (5) contains a cylindrical passage for the rivet mandrel (2). The slots (7) extend in the longitudinal direction of the passage and radially. The width of the slots is less than the diameter of the passage for the rivet mandrel. The clamping plates (10) can be moved radially in the slots (7) to such an extent that the inner edges of said plates facing the passage can engage in the passage. |
