The security substrate comprises a composite from a first layer (2) and a second layer (5), which partially overlaps and forms in an overlapping area of the composite, and a security element (3) that lies within the composite. The first layer comprises a predetermined permeability for organic solvents, and a perforation (6, 7) or material taper by which the solvent applied on the first layer of the security substrate reaches the security element or an adhesive layer having dyes. The security substrate comprises a composite from a first layer (2) and a second layer (5), which partially overlaps and forms in an overlapping area of the composite, and a security element (3) that lies within the composite. The first layer comprises a predetermined permeability for organic solvents, and a perforation (6, 7) or material taper by which the solvent applied on the first layer of the security substrate reaches the security element or an adhesive layer having dyes. The security element is formed so that the solvent penetrated through the first layer leads to a perceptible change of the security element. The perforation or material taper is formed in a region, which lies over the security element, which comprises an area provided with a white print having dyes. The dyes bleed in contact with the solvent. The value documents are formed and delimited by longitudinal edges that are longer than the dimension of value documents and transverse to which the security substrate is present to be isolated into value documents. The security element has a linear structure that passes parallel to the longitudinal edges, where a line structure is present over a stretch that overstretches a size of the value documents, and is present in exact equal distance to the longitudinal edges thus runs without wobbling. The security element: comprises a print image, diffraction structures, metal structures, luminescent materials, thin film devices, liquid crystals, magnetic pigments, thermochromic materials, photochromic materials, dyes, and a color motif deposited on the film; and is formed in form of a security thread or window thread. The first layer and/or the second layer comprises a film. The white print is applied on the film. An independent claim is included for a method for producing security substrate for value documents such as banknotes and checks.
