MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR FIBROUS PHOTOCATALYST OBJECT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalyst object and manufacturing method therefor, capable of effectively exhibiting a photocatalyst action, and to provide a cleaning apparatus using the photocatalyst object.

SOLUTION: The fibrous photocatalyst object includes at least a fibrous silica glass carrier composed of many silica glass fibers and a coating of material that is formed on a surface of the fibrous silica glass carrier and becomes an photocatalyst. The cleaning apparatus includes at least a reactor, the fibrous photocatalyst object stored in the reactor and an ultraviolet lamp to bring an object to be treated into contact with the fibrous photocatalyst body and clean the object to be treated by a photocatalyst action while irradiating the fibrous photocatalyst object with ultraviolet rays, using the ultraviolet lamp. The manufacturing method for fibrous photocatalyst object includes at least preparing the fibrous silica glass carrier composed of many silica glass fibers and forming a coating of material that becomes a photocatalyst on the surface of the fibrous silica glass carrier.
