<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow sufficiently higher brightness than before, and to prevent color unevenness in an emission point of a phosphor layer. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device includes a solid light source 5 which emits light in a predetermined wavelength among the wavelength region from ultraviolet light to visible light, and a phosphor layer 2 containing at least one kind of phosphor which is excited by the excitation light from the solid light source 5 to emit fluorescence of the wavelength longer than the emission wavelength of the solid light source 5, with the solid light source 5 and the phosphor layer 2 being arranged away from each other in terms of space. The phosphor layer 2 is attached on a light reflecting stage 6 of truncated pyramid shape or truncated cone shape. The light reflecting stage 6 is attached to a light absorbing member 9. The shape and cross sectional area of the beam, which is the excitation light from the solid light source 5 that enters the phosphor layer 2 attached on the light reflecting stage 6, on the incidence surface of the phosphor layer is similar to the shape and area of the entire incidence surface of the phosphor layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
