<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve service for customers through enabling customers to register a privilege by a coupon ticket even during shopping and to know the precise price after reflecting the privilege in a commodity sales system where PSS system is adopted. <P>SOLUTION: Commodity information on a commodity is detected based on an identification code input when a symbol code attached to the commodity is read by a scanner provided to a handy terminal. Privilege information is detected based on an identification code input when a symbol code attached to a coupon thicket is read by the scanner.
