PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit, an information processing program, a computer-readable recording medium with an information processing program stored therein, and an information processing method that identify which work is commercialized into a product.

SOLUTION: An information processing unit 100 includes: a product information acquisition part 111m that acquires product name information indicating a product name of a product; a information storage part 150 that stores work title information indicating a work title of a work; a work information searching part 114w that searches the stored work title information based on the acquired product name information; and a commercialization determination part 115 that determines whether or not a product with the product name is a commercialized product of a work with the work title, based on a degree of similarity between a search result by a search engine with the work title indicated in the searched work title information and a search result by a search engine with the product name indicated in the acquired product name information.
