<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for issuing an alarm or providing assistance so as to make a vehicle be driven within a driving path as being matched with a driver's sense of collision danger. <P>SOLUTION: A drive-supporting apparatus sets a driving path, within which a vehicle is drivable, by using road markings indicating driving lane boundaries or non-drivable areas as reference points and, when the vehicle deviates from the driving path, the apparatus issues an alarm or provides assistance so as to make the vehicle be driven within the driving path.
