<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seabed deposit excavator capable of performing excavating and loading work from a work barge having bulk enough to load the seabed deposit excavator without requiring a conventional large-sized work barge having a large deck where both of an excavator and a recovery machine are loaded. <P>SOLUTION: An inventive seabed deposit excavator which is movable on a sea bottom and seabed deposits includes: a body frame provided with a pair of left and right crawlers; and an excavating unit for excavating the seabed deposits provided at the front end of the body frame via an excavating boom such that the excavating unit can swing up and down and right and left. The excavating unit provided on the body frame is removable, and an accumulation unit can be mounted to the excavating boom, for feeding debris of seabed minerals excavated and scattered on the sea bottom to an accumulation bin installed in the body frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
