<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dredging jig and a dredging method capable of cleaning/dredging a sewer and a traverse water channel at a narrow location where a large-sized cleaning vehicle cannot be carried in due to the small amount of water. <P>SOLUTION: A head rope 22 is made to pass through an earthenware pipe T by a guide rope or the like beforehand, and the head rope 22 is pulled to insert a base plate 1, an umbrella-shaped head 2 and a high pressure jetting nozzle 3 into the earthenware pipe T. Then, the head rope 22 is loosened, and in the state of making the umbrella-shaped head 2 stand upright by pulling back an inner rope 23, high pressure water is supplied from a flexible pipe 25 through a water pipe 26 to the high pressure jetting nozzle 3, and high pressure jetting water is jetted from a water jetting port 17 to the back.
