<p>A shoe cleaning device 10 comprises a rotatable cleaning disc 12, a housing 14 on which the cleaning disc 12 is rotatably mountable, and a horizontally mounted motor 16 to maintain an extreme low profile. The housing 4 can be have a circumference substantially similar to the cleaning disc 12. Preferably, a non-centrally configured gearbox 68 routes the drive via a central bevel gear 70. Preferably the housing 14 encapsulates the motor 16 to form a mounded pinchgrip 38, which may have a pressure activated unit 62 to activate the device 10. The housing 14 may have a protruding butt (94, fig 8) which may house some of the motor 16 or other components. Preferably there is provided an illuminatory power band 80 which spans a circumference of the device 10 in totality or in pattern and may be activated by pressurizing the pinchgrip 38, which is intended to give feedback and intuitive control to a user. A second she cleaning device comprising a disc 12, a housing 14 on which the disc 12 is mountable, a motor 16 and an illuminatory power band 80 is also claimed.</p> |
