<p>Catalyst system for polymerisation of 2-10C 1-olefins It comprises an organo-aluminium compound Al(R2)3 (I) and a chromium compound ROCrO2OR' (II) and a support having a specific surface of 50-1000 m2/g (R and R' are each alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl contg. up to 6C atoms; and R2 is 1-14C alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl). The support pref. consists of microspheroidal silica. The catalyst gives very high yields of high mol. wt. polymers such as polyethylene.</p> |
