BIOGAS REFORMING SYSTEM USING WASTE HEAT, AND BIOGAS REFORMING METHOD USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Biogas reforming system and method using waste heat are provided to remove a need to separately supply hydrogen for addition. CONSTITUTION: A biogas reforming system using waste heat comprises a gas engine, a heat exchanger, and a reformer. The gas engine uses biogas as main fuel. The heat exchanger recovers heat from the exhaust gas of a biogas engine to increase the temperature of biogas for reforming. After the reformer reforms the biogas for reforming heated to synthetic gas containing hydrogen, it sends the gas reformed to the biogas engine. The heat exchanger is a moving, fixed, U-shaped, cylindrical coiled, planar or dual pipe type.
