[Also in Division F2] Screen printing or other rotary printing apparatus having a rotatable screen 3 or a roller at each of a plurality of spaced printing stations is provided with means for adjusting independently the circumferential register of each screen or roller, said means comprising at each station a helical gear 11 mounted on a common drive shaft 5 and co-operating with an axially adjustable helical gear 15 mounted in a casing 6 and having its axis at right angles to that of the shaft 5. The gear 15 is supported on a rotatable sleeve 12 which also supports a gear 16 cooperating with a gear 4 connected to the respective screen 3 or roller. Rotation of a shaft 7 by a handle 9 displaces the gear 15 by an amount indicated by a scale 17. In a modification the gear 16 is non-rotatable with respect to the gear 15 but is displaced axially relative thereto but not with respect to the casing 6. The apparatus may print in multi-colour. |
