NON-COMBUSTIBLE SOUND ABSORBING MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A nonflammable sound absorbing material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve an acoustic absorptivity by using an expanded vermiculite coated with an inorganic binder to prevent demolition of an inter-layer structure of the expanded vermiculite during a manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: A nonflammable sound absorbing material comprises 60-80 parts by weight of expanded vermiculite coated with a first inorganic binder and 20-40 parts by weight of a second inorganic binder. The first inorganic binder comprises 100parts by weight of sodium silicate, 20-40 parts by weight of silica sol, 5-15 parts by weight of purified water, 1-7 parts by weight of potassium phosphate, and 1-7 parts by weight of kaolin. A manufacturing method of the nonflammable sound absorbing material comprises the following steps: mixing The first inorganic binder and the expanded vermiculite in weight part ratio of 1:1; drying the mixture; mixing 60-80 parts by weight of the expanded vermiculite coated with the first inorganic binder and 20-40 parts by weight of the second inorganic binder; compression-molding the mixture; and processing a surface of the compression-molded mixture.
