<p>The invention relates to a water purification plant (S) using a submerged bed (L) of bacteria, characterized in that it comprises a receptacle (R or R') in which a plurality of concentric partitions (110 and 120) form separate concentric volumes (V1, V2 and V3), at least one external volume (V1 and V2) receiving a biomass/bacterial culture support, at least one drain (200) feeding the water to be treated into the top part of the volume or volumes, at least one tubular ring (310 and 320) for diffusing oxygen into the bottom part of the volume or volumes (V1 and V2) and a central volume (V3) serving as final clarifier (400) that communicates with a discharge pipe (420), the water to be treated passing from the peripheral volumes (V1 and V2) to the central volume (V3).
