A slide unit (S) is arranged over the vehicle housing (2) for sliding a door (1). The door is moved at a primary speed until the door reaches a deceleration area and is decelerated to a secondary speed which is lower than the primary speed. The door contacts the wall portion of the vehicle and is stopped by setting the stopping position corresponding to difference in operation of the door.
