<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical aluminum nitride powder that has high thermal conductivity, excellent filling performance, and is useful as a filler for a heat-dissipation material, and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the spherical aluminum nitride powder, a composition containing alumina or hydrated alumina, 0.5 to 30 pts.mass of a compound including a rare-earth metal of a compound system including rare-earth metal element, and 38 to 46 pts.mass of carbon powder with respect to 100 pts.mass of alumina or hydrated alumina is reductively nitrided for at least two hours at a temperature of 1,620-1,900°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
