<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably perform automatic braking control by which a collision with a front side control object is avoided with as much stable precision as possible and good response even if occurrence of a large pitching motion to a vehicle results in the situation that the sight of the control target is lost or front information should significantly be corrected. <P>SOLUTION: When a pitching angle θp is larger than a threshold θpc to be preset, the possibility of a collision of the control subject with a self-vehicle 1 is determined on the basis of the running information of the control target detected at least previously.
