<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemispherical conveying roll for a steel pipe making the best use of ceramics excellent in wear resistance, and capable of preventing damage of ceramics caused by impact in insertion of the steel pipe, and having a longer service life than that of a conventional roll. <P>SOLUTION: The hemispherical conveying roll 1 for the steel pipe includes a ceramics part 2 having a through hole passing through a center of a back surface of a hemispherical body and bored vertically to the back surface, a sleeve shaped metal fitting 3 having a shape covering the whole of the inner peripheral surface of the through hole of the ceramics part, a ring shaped metal fitting 4 covering the whole of the back surface of the ceramics part, and a roll shaft 5 capable of transmitting rotation to the ceramics part through the metal fittings, and the two kinds of the metal fittings 3 and 4 are fixed to the ceramics part 2 by an adhesive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
