<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that allows a vehicle driver easily perform operation required for failure detection of a by-wire system. <P>SOLUTION: A by-wire control part 15 restricts operation of steering ST (gas pedal AP, brake pedal BP) to within the limits of 0-54°(0-10%, 0-10%) after ON of a starting switch by a steering range of motion restriction part 11 (gas pedal range of motion restriction part 12, brake pedal range of motion restriction part 13). When determining that the amount of the steering operation (amount of gas pedal operation, the amount of brake operation) is within the steering diagnostic start determination range (gas pedal diagnostic start determination range, brake diagnostic start determination range), the by-wire control part determines whether the steering amount (drive amount, braking amount) is within the preset steering normal determination range (gas pedal normal determination range, brake normal determination range) according to the steering diagnostic start determination range (gas pedal diagnostic start determination range, brake diagnostic start determination range). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
