<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character input device, a character input method, and a character input program allowing quick input of characters on a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: A cellular phone terminal (character input device) 1 comprises a touch panel 2 for detecting an operation performed for its surface and a main control part 10 for causing a text to be displayed on the touch panel 2. When detecting a predetermined operation that is performed while the surface of the touch panel 2 in a text display area is being touched, the main control part 10 performs editing processing such as character string insertion, character string replacement, and character string reconversion by setting, as a reference of an editing location, a part of the text corresponding to the position where the predetermined operation has been detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
