PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a controlling method thereof are provided to enable a user to conveniently move and copy of an object through respectively different 3D depth. CONSTITUTION: A command input unit inputs a command from a user. The user selects a first icon as first touch input from a three-dimensional user interface. A control unit(180) changes three-dimensional depth of a first icon into two-dimensional depth. The control unit inputs a restore command through the command input unit. The control unit restores three-dimensional depth of the first icon into one-dimensional depth.
