<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide adaptive and configurable QoS systems and methods in a tactical data network. <P>SOLUTION: Different priorities are assigned to different types of data. The prioritization occurs at least one of: in a transport layer and at a top of the transport layer. A network is analyzed to determine a bandwidth status thereof. When the bandwidth status is determined to have a first network status type, only a first part of data, which is assigned a first priority level, is selectively communicated.
