<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SATB2 transcription factor protein as a marker useful for diagnosis and/or prognosis of colorectal cancer. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides new methods, means and uses in connection with detection, characterization and prognosis of colorectal cancer, via the identification of the SATB2 protein as a marker for this cancer type.
