<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate shading adjustment and to avoid deterioration of productivity of a device by eliminating unnecessary shading adjustment outside the presence range of a shading board even when the mounting position of the shading board is deviated from device to device due to the assembly error of the device. <P>SOLUTION: An image reader 100 is provided with an edge detection part 75, a read control part 10, a control panel 3, and a read mechanism 74. The edge detection part 75 detects two edges of the shading board in a sub-scanning direction when a shading position is adjusted, and the read control part 10 sets the adjustment range of the shading position in a range between the two edges. The read mechanism 74 reads the shading position input by the control panel 3 within the set adjustment range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
