<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic comprising a copolymer that simultaneously achieves both good compatibility with various kinds of oily agents and adhesion to the skin or the hair to thereby provide a cosmetic that is less sticky, extends smoothly, imparts a refreshing feeling of use, is highly water-repellent and safe to the skin, gives a good feeling of use and is excellently persistent. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises a copolymer (A) constituted of at least a monomer unit (I): a silicone macromonomer represented by formula (1); a monomer unit (II): a (meth)acrylate monomer or a (meth)acrylamide monomer; a monomer unit (III): a hydrophilic monomer; and a monomer unit (IV): a radically polymerizable hydrophobic monomer, as essential ingredients. In the formula, X is a 6-12C bivalent aromatic group or -COOR<SP POS="POST">3</SP>-, provided that R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>is an aliphatic group linked to Si; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>'s are the same or different and are each a fluorinated or unsubstituted 1-30C monovalent alkyl group or an aryl group; and n is an integer of 1-100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
