<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which can largely suppress more than a conventional technology the amount of gel which is formed in a molded product obtained by molding a cyclic olefin-based resin pellet to which a lubricant is externally added. <P>SOLUTION: As a method for externally adding the lubricant, there is employed a method which coats the cyclic olefin-based resin pellet with an emulsion dispersed with the lubricant in a solvent which does not dissolve the cyclic olefin-based resin, and removes the solvent from the coated emulsion.
