<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partially hydrophilic gas diffusion layer which enhances performance of a fuel cell stack, by forming a structure of a gas diffusion layer that can effectively remove water produced by the fuel cell stack in a simple process, and to provide the fuel cell stack including the same. <P>SOLUTION: This partially hydrophilic gas diffusion layer has such a structure as to receive, in a gas diffusion layer, a stack fastening pressure from a separation plate having a land forming a gas channel, and as to include a first region which receives the stack fastening pressure at a lower part of the land of the separation plate and a second region at a lower part of the gas channel of the separation plate. The first region is hydrophilically treated and a pore of the first region is formed so as to have a pore size smaller than that of a pore of the second region by deformation due to the stack fastening pressure. The first region is composed to have the separation plate as a first electrode, has a second electrode provided at the opposite side of the first electrode through the first region, and is hydrophilically treated by connecting AC power and applying the AC power to water or water vapor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
