Coating a surface (10) of a body (1) comprising at least one continuous bore (5) with an inlet (51), and an outlet (52), which is provided on the surface to be coated, comprises coating the surface of the body by thermal spraying. The bore is passed through a fluid during the thermal spraying, and the fluid flows out through the outlet of the bore. The narrowing of the bore caused by the coating is prevented. An independent claim is also included for a turbine blade coated by the above mentioned method.
