<p>A mixture contains beta-Al2O3 powder and 3-8 wt.% other ingredients, so that the beta-Al2O3 has the formula X2O.11Al2O3. The other ingredients are compounds and/or mixtures of compounds of the formula X2CO3, X2SO4 or XNO3, where X is Na or K. The mixture is sintered at high temperature and pressure. Specifically, sintering takes place at 1,500 degrees C-1,650 degrees C and 150-500 kg/cm2 for 10-30 minutes.</p> |
