A knife comprises a substantially hollow handle formed from side walls 1, 2 and a tray 15 for spare blades pivotally mounted within the handle so that it may be moved between open and closed positions for the removal or insertion of blades, a catch 27 being formed on the tray for engagement with a lip on the handle and being exposed for manual actuation to release the catch. The tray 15 is made from a moulded plastics material and is integrally formed with a flexible arm 25 having the catch 27; a stop member 23 is provided on the tray. A knife blade 4 is mounted in a slidable carriage. |
