<p>Coke discharge control equipment for coking plant ensures that the full coke discharge circuit is automatic and programmed. It is started by an operator standing on the coke conveyor and by operators standing in fixed places. The coke carriage and the engine are not manned. The operation consists of automatically placing the coke carriage in line with the coking chamber, directed at the conveyor in response to a radio signal from the conveyor, after which, pref also automatically, the coke carriage is moved during the discharge of the coke from the coking chamber. A third automatic operation is the starting off of the carriage to the quenching tower when extinction is automatically started and carried out at the end of the third operation. In a fourth operation the carriage is conveyed to the discharge quay for discharge. The operations are initiated on receipt of signals transmitted from fixed stations.</p> |
