<p>The insertion profile (1) for mounting retaining profiles (2) for plate-shaped modules (6, 6') such as roof modules, is claimed, where the insertion profile is: formed from a rectangular profile, where receptacles (5, 5') for the retaining profiles is arranged at edge regions on a side of the insertion profile; and is made of metal and/or plastic. The side of the insertion profile is arranged at the edge regions of the receptacles for the retaining profiles, and is partially opened in a central region in a longitudinal direction of the insertion profile. An additional web (7) is integrally formed on one of the receptacles through which a channel for receiving lines is formed together with the inserted retaining profiles, where side ventilation openings are available in the insertion profile.
