<p>There is disclosed a valve comprising a valve body having an upper sealing surface and a maintainable seat detachably attached to the valve body and having a lower sealing surface. A gasket is disposed between the upper and lower sealing surfaces so as to provide a seal between the valve body and the maintainable seat. At least one of the sealing surfaces is profiled. This results in the gasket being highly-compressed so as to form an effective seal.</p> |
