FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: magnitude of the Earth's magnetic field is measured on a profile from a movable carrier. Approximate coordinates on the carrier standard system are determined. Based on the approximate coordinates, maps of the reference Earth's magnetic field of a smaller scale or separate routes and/or topography and/or bathymetric data and/or maps for satellite altimetry on water bodies and/or maps of structural horizons (seismic, gravitating, electric), local geologic features, data on physical properties or rocks, theoretic, laboratory or experimental relationships between physical properties of rocks in a given area and/or region are selected. Using physical properties of rocks, the relationship between physical properties of rocks, the relationship between geophysical fields and geomagnetic sections in addition to rare data on the Earth's magnetic field, pseudomagnetic anomalies on the present geophysical fields and geologic bodies and sections are calculated. The observed field with all pseudomagnetic anomalies is corrected and those pseudomagnetic anomalies which correlate with the real field are selected. Using multiple regression, weight coefficients of different pseudomagnetic anomalies are calculated and these anomalies are summed up based on the weight coefficients. The obtained sum is mapped with the reference Earth's magnetic field of the section under investigation. Accurate coordinates of the carrier are determined by collating information obtained using an onboard system for measuring the Earth's magnetic field, with reference information on the field in the calculated pseudomagnetic anomalies. ^ EFFECT: wider field of use. |
