PURPOSE: A portable terminal and control method thereof are provided to enable a user to effectively manage icons displayed on a touch screen by enabling the user to successively move the icons. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen displays a specific page from plural pages including one or more icons. A control unit(180) moves the specific icon of the specific page to the page corresponding to a specific indicator when a user manipulation signal is received from plural indicators corresponding to the pages. The user manipulation signal is defined by the specific indicator.
