PURPOSE: A method for automatically controlling the light quantity of an image using latitude/longitude information at a black box device is provided to easily and accurately distinguish day and night using the latitude/longitude information of the current position of a black box device. CONSTITUTION: A method for automatically controlling the light quantity of an image using latitude/longitude information at a black box device is as follows. A GPS receive module calculates the current latitude/longitude information of a black box device using a GPS signal. The calculated current latitude/longitude information is inputted(S110). The current date, day and night are determined from the current latitude/longitude information(S120). The light quantity of an image sensor is automatically controlled depending on the determined results(S130).
