CLEANING METHOD OF EMERGENCY FILTER FOR LOW PRESSURE EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION

PURPOSE: A method for cleaning an emergency filter of a low pressure exhaust gas re-circulating device is provided to prevent damage to an emergency filter having lower endurance limit than that of a diesel particulate filter. CONSTITUTION: A method for cleaning an emergency filter of a low pressure exhaust gas re-circulating device comprises followings. Whether an emergency filter is in a cleaning mode for cleaning an emergency filter is checked(S1). If the emergency filter is in the cleaning mode, whether an engine is entered into a regeneration mode is checked(S2). If the engine is in the regeneration mode and a vehicle is travelling, the regeneration mode is performed according to general driving conditions(S3). If the vehicle is stopped and the regeneration of DPF is not completed, a service regeneration mode is practiced.
