<p>Cosmetic use of at least one compound (I) comprising anandamide and its derivatives as an agent for improving the barrier function of the skin, where the anandamide and/or its derivatives is in a composition containing a medium, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) a cosmetic treatment for improving the barrier function, moisturizing and/or resistance to pollution of the skin comprising applying, to the skin, the agent comprising the anandamide or the composition; and (2) a composition for implementation of the method comprising, in a medium, combination of (i) at least one compound comprising anandamide and its derivatives, and (ii) at least one compound comprising moisturizers, depigmenting agents, anti-glycation agents, nitric oxide (NO) synthesis inhibitors, agent for stimulating the synthesis of dermal or epidermal macromolecules and/or preventing their degradation, agent for stimulating the proliferation of fibroblasts and/or keratinocytes or stimulating the keratinocyte differentiation, muscle-relaxing agents, tightening agents; the anti-pollution and/or anti-radical, and/or sunscreens.
