METHODS, SYSTEMS AND KITS FOR PREDICTING VIRAL SET POINT

Disclosed are methods of predicting viral set point in an individual infected with a virus. Also disclosed are methods of determining a course of treatment based on predicted viral set point. The methods use viral load and expression levels of signature predictor genes of the infected subject to determine predicted viral set point of the virus in the subject. Such methods may permit prediction of viral set point in the early stages after infection prior to establishment of viral set point. The invention provides distinct sets of signature predictive genes to predict viral set point that are informative at different times after infection. Kits useful for predicting viral set point are provided, as well as systems for identifying signature predictor genes.
