<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station and a control method in the base station in which, when processing for wireless service for a mobile station in a service area is assigned to any one of plural processing units, total power consumption of the processing units is suppressed and a delay in processing for wireless service having high priority is prevented. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 40 accumulates a predictive processing amount of wireless service for a mobile station. On the basis of the accumulated amount of the predictive processing amount, the control unit 40 increases or decreases the number of cores (i.e., the number of cores in use) to perform processing among plural cores. At this time, when the control unit 40 receives, from the mobile station, a new call connection request, that is, a request to provide the mobile station with a new wireless service to be processed, the control unit 40 performs control so that, as the new wireless service has higher priority, the number of processing units is more likely to increase and not to decrease. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
