<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposing agent constituted of an iron particle which does not need to contain copper, and capable of sufficiently decomposing organohalogen compounds; and to provide a production method of the same. <P>SOLUTION: The decomposing agent of organohalogen compounds includes an iron particle composed of iron and an iron oxide, wherein the iron particle is such that when the iron particle is twice subjected to an ion beam etching of the etching conditions: a vacuum degree inside a chamber of 2.0×10<SP POS="POST">-2</SP>Pa, an acceleration voltage of an ion gun of 10 kV, an emission current of 10 mA, and an etching time of 14 sec, the content of metallic iron in the outermost surface layer of the iron particle is ≥15 mass%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
