<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug and an optical transmission module which can be attached to a housing, even if position deviation is generated between a holder and a photoelectric conversion element mounting portion. <P>SOLUTION: A plug 1 is provided at one end of an optical fiber 100. The plug 1 has a photoelectric conversion element 4 optically connected to the optical fiber 100, a photoelectric conversion element mounting portion 8 including the photoelectric conversion element 4, and a holder 6 to which the optical fiber 100 is attached. A rectangular surface S1 of the photoelectric conversion element mounting portion 8 and a surface S2 of the holder 6 are opposed to each other. The length of a long side of the surface S1 is shorter than the length of the surface S2 in a long side direction of the surface S1, and the length of a short side of the surface S1 is shorter than the length of the surface S2 in a short side direction of the surface S1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
