<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for avoiding wrong input when a user rotates an input device. <P>SOLUTION: The input device 100 includes an input/output device 110, and detects a state of contact between an effective region as at least a part of the input/output device 110 and an external body and accepts input from the user. The input device includes input limiting means (mode switching part 144) of limiting the input when the input device 100 starts rotating, and limitation removing means (mode switching part 144) of removing the limitation when the input device 100 completes rotating.
