<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling electrical components for a vehicle, by which validation or invalidation of arbitrary processing from among one or more kinds of abnormality detection processing can be easily set. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor control device 1 connected to a gas sensor 2 includes a microcomputer 10 having a ROM 12, and an EEPROM 30 independently from the ROM 12. In the ROM 12, a failure diagnosis program is memorized which contains one or more kinds of abnormality determination processing. In the EEPROM 30, a flag is memorized which sets the validation/invalidation of the abnormality determination processing. The state of the flag can be easily changed from a PC 3 connected to the outside. In the case of the validation after a series of process of the abnormality determination processing is executed, the CPU 11 obtains a determination result by referring to the flag. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
