<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix even a heavy-line image by a low power consumption while further efficiently using reflected light to a recording material when fixing an image on the recording material by thermofusion using laser beam. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: conveying means 2 that conveys a recording material 1 formed with an image towards a predetermined conveying direction to transverse a fixing region in which the image can be fixed by heating; a laser source 3 that has an irradiation region IR as the fixing region extending inclinedly to a predetermined image arrangement reference direction in the width direction of the recording material 1 crossing with the conveying direction of the recording material 1, and irradiates the irradiation region IR with laser light; and a reflection member 4 provided to enclose the narrow width direction of the irradiation region IR and has a reflecting surface 4a that reflects reflected light Lr such that the reflected light Lr from the irradiation region IR, of laser light Li irradiated from the laser light source 3 is irradiated again toward the irradiation region IR. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
