<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit for an automatic vending machine that efficiently and accurately lights up objects of lighting, such as display articles and a back panel, with illumination light from an LED element, and has superior cost performance. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting unit has an optically transparent unit body which extends along the width of an object of lighting, and the unit body has an upper case 13a and a lower case 13b. The lower case 13b is provided with a light guiding part 16 which comprises an LED 12, and guides light emitted by the LED 12 to the back of at least one of a cool-temperature display panel 3e displaying cool-temperature information on articles sold positioned in an upper area and an article selection switch 2a for selecting an article, and efficiently lights up not only article samples and a back plate, but also the cool-temperature display panel 3e and article selection switch 2a with the light guided by the light guiding part 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
